What a Tease

The sun does something to me. It makes me alive. The temperature went up to a frigid 68 degrees. The sun was out. It was a taste of spring. No matter how much I love cold weather, I'm ready for short sleeves and driving with the windows down.

There's something magical about driving with the windows down. There are so many smells. Fresh air. Cigarette smoke. Exhaust. Barbecue. Adventure. I can't wait for warmer weather.

I wasn't going to waste it. I put on my flip flops. I got in my car. Rolled down the windows. Put my iPod on shuffle. And met up with Emily. I found myself smiling like an idiot the whole way. Oh, Emily. I've known her for a good while. She knew me when I didn't have bangs. She's getting married in the summer and moving to the land called Virginia. She's real cute. She does things like buy tulips.

I smushed one side of my camera bag down because there wasn't anything else to set my camera on. I set the timer and yelled "Jump!" to cue Emily. I laugh so hard when I look through these. We put on quite a show for the folks in the mexican restaurant.

Weekends

I had a beautiful weekend with beautiful people.
Geez, Kat, can you get any more beautiful?
I couldn't love this picture more even if I tried.

One day, Seanzi. One day.

Yup. That sums up Saturday night.

23 flavors of pancakes

I ventured to Nashville TN for a short period of time. It was colorful and fast. What are some of my favorite things about road trips? I'm glad you asked.
  • Driving
  • Tunnels(!!)
  • Good music
  • Car conversations
  • Rolling the windows down
  • Discovering new lands
  • The sky
  • Gas station coffee
  • Coming back home

This was one of the fastest visits of my life. Last minute and short. I wish I could've stayed for a week. I traveled with my friend Heather to visit my friend Heather. Out of peer pressure I legally changed my name to Heather.

I think I'll go back. Stay longer than a day. Explore and take pictures. Maybe change my name to Milton.

Thank God there were lemons.

I've been home bound for the past few days due to the weather. Snow and ice. Beautiful and dangerous all at the same time. I'm a little restless. I've been cleaning out my closet (bleh), watching a lot of Netflix, and overanalyzing the meaning of life.

I also made a cake. It's delicious. I tried to make it orange--because a bright orange cake just sounded awesome-- but alas, it's an unattractive coral. In hopes of distracting myself from the color, I covered it in sprinkles. Sprinkles just fill me with good feelings.

Now back to laundry and Horse Feathers.

Falso. Osos negros.

Costa Rica. I think we were there to learn. I was there for doppelgangers and to vandalize artifacts.

I listen to Ideas of Swing by Andrew Bird while I post this. I advise your ears to do the same.
