My Mom

It's my mom's birthday today. She's 50. I guess it's not kosher to admit the age of a woman, but she looks good and this is my blog-- I can brag if I want to. So this weekend moms and I went out and got some pictures.

Gaw.

Oowee. This one is my favorite.

People say we look alike. That's okay with me. My mom looks good.

I am not a local.

So I went to Wilmington this past weekend for recreational purposes. I saw my good friend Anna, laughed a lot, went dancing(!), and had an all around good time.

I have this weird love of the sky. It's so cool. Clouds. The blue. The moon. Sunshine. I love it. It never ceases to amaze me.

If you're over the age of 65 you'll recognize this. The courthouse from Matlock.

This cracked me up. A group of segwayers stopped to watch this wedding shoot. Hah.

The most delicious looking ice cream I've ever seen. You know that scene in Hook where they get in a food fight? Yeah... like that.
I'm going to blow this up and hang it somewhere.

This is, indeed, Pacey's restaurant. There is so much filming that happens in Wilmington. Dawson's Creek, One Tree Hill... Matlock.

Jena is the luckiest girl in the world.
I am obsessed with these keys. So. Cool!

When the sun is out and I'm in a location that's out of the norm, my heart opens a little wider. I get a little braver. No, I don't know this guy. Not even his name. But I could not pass up that beard! At an Irish pub? Come on. I think it's safe to say that I fell in love with him a little. In my mind we got married and had adorable children with red beards.

I was going to explain this picture... but I think it's funnier if I don't.

It wasn't quite warm enough for flip-flops.
Voted most likely to get in a car accident for a picture. I should put together all the photos I've taken while driving. Yes, dangerous at times, but I can't help it. I fully believe we were given two hands to take pictures with and a knee to steer.

Wilmington is beautiful. I could see myself living there for a period of time.
